Victoria Peak

Victoria Peak is perhaps the most significant landmark of Hong Kong. The native people yearn for an accommodation in Victoria Peak. Interestingly, this peak was never so popular before 1888 and very few people were actually aware of the presence of Victoria Peak before that. But it became a hot tourist spot only after the opening of the Peak Tramway in 1888.

The Peak Tram operates from 5.40 in the morning till 1 at night and it takes people up and down. Only two cars run in this route carrying 72 passengers and one driver. It is surely a major tourist attraction in Hong Kong and people love to go for a walk in the bamboo and fern forest of Victoria Peak.
Enjoy your holiday in the midst of small Chinese pines, vines and hibiscus. You should start exploring Victorian Peak from Lugard Road which is perched at 395m above sea level. And, from there you will be able to catch the mesmerizing view of China and Macau. From Harlech Road, enjoy the view of the harbor and one should not miss the charm of Green Island Peng Chau in the north and Macau and Lantau in the west.

You also chill out with your friends and family members at the Victorian Peak cafe. Here, the tourists cherish the neo- colonial ambiance. Catch some of the fascinating views of the nation from the Cafe Deco at the Peak Tower. A ride through the Rise of the Dragon, a dark tunnel is the most favorite activity of the foreign tourists in Victoria Peak. This is the first computer operated entertainment cum educational ride for the tourists in Hong Kong. Get to know of the early history of the territory from this ride. Victoria Peak is a highly favorite spot of the tourists because they get to experience the charm of mountainous forest over there.
